DÆMA (prounouned ‘day-ma’) is my artist mentoring and integrated music development platform. The word Dæma (also written as Daema) means walking a path guided by our inner creative gods (what the ancient Greeks called dæmons).

After twenty years in the music business as MC Xander, and employing techniques and approaches from my work as a psychologist, I’m now offering to serve other artists on the deepest journeys a human could ever take:

Making our soul’s music.

Moving on a path of deep creativity is not an easy task!

It often requires a significant shift in the way we view our whole lives, how we use our time, where we find resource and refuge, what relationships are around us, how we use technology and many other considerations.

I believe this path to be the most important journey one can take in this life, and so it calls for a holistic, deep and integrated approach.

A large part of the value of Daema comes from the insight that as humans, our bodies and brains evolved in the context of a close-knit, super-social society. That’s why we are so easily and powerfully influenced by the social sphere around us – you’ve probably heard the quote from author and motivation guru Jim Rohn “You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with”.

Unfortunately the power of ‘social hacking’ is often a big problem for us! Tech companies know this and find a million ways to keep us scrolling on their platforms, wasting our time and our lives. Also, have you ever noticed how easily your creative time is disrupted by someone wanting your help or some other kind of social engagement?

By becoming a Daemist, you are given a set of social tools that, instead of wasting your time, actually focus and direct you towards what you most want to do – doing your soul work.

All the tools together I call the Daema Village. You can think of this village as one that exists to serve you in the pursuit of your soul’s purpose.

However, over time, you begin to realise that, by dedicating yourself to your deep creativity, you are actually providing solidarity and inspiration for others.

This ends up being one of the most motivating factors for us! – that we are not just doing this for ourselves, but that our creativity is deep gift for our community, and for this world.

AN INTEGRATED APPROACH

CORE FEATURES

  • 1:1 weekly or biweekly 50min mentoring sessions with me where we’ll create a strategy tailored exactly to what is most needed for you and your musical path.

  • 30min (optional) weekly group Daema Village call where you clarify intentions and plan for the week ahead in small breakouts.

  • Creative solidarity CoArt Discord channels where you simply show-up to work on your music alongside other Daemists and track time spent towards your projects.

  • CoLoop (collaborative looping) sessions where you can play and experiment live with other musicians. After the session you have instant access to full multitrack audio –it’s perfect for practice, collaboration and generating seeds for your next song.

  • Shared online silent meditation sessions in the CoTemple area to drop deep into the resourcing, free, ecstatic space (‘The Void’) where creativity actually comes from!

  • Listening sessions, community forums and other village events.

Design your own reliable, repeatable music writing flow. From the first sketch to the final track, we’ll develop a sustainable daily/weekly creative routine that helps you actually finish remarkable music. Join shared writing sessions with others to inspire and motivate!

PRODUCTION & MIXING

Shape your ideas into release-ready tracks. We’ll walk through arrangement, sound design, mixing, and mastering, so your music not only sounds great, but stirs souls!

MARKETING STRATEGY

Make your music easy to find and hard to ignore. We’ll explore smart, authentic ways to share your work and grow your audience without burning out or selling your soul.

LIVE PERFORMANCE

Take your show to the next level whether on stage or online. Explore tools, setups, and creative strategies for compelling live sets, loop-based performances, and streaming shows. Showcase your sounds in live CoLoop jams!

VOCALS

Strengthen your voice both physically and artistically. Develop pitch, tone, rhythm, delivery, harmony and vocal presence, whether you’re a singer, rapper, beatboxer, or spoken word artist.

LYRICS

Write words that resonate. Learn how to craft lyrics with depth, imagery, impact, and emotion so your songs stay with people long after they end. Join witnessed solo sessions where you share solos with fellow word smiths.

We’ll start with an honest conversation about your goals, experience, and blocks – then choose the most meaningful next step for your journey.

DÆMA PRICING

Here’s how it works:

We’ll start with a free 15min chat (book below). Then if we decide to work together, we’ll find a time slot that works for you and arrange six 50-minute mentoring sessions.

I offer my sessions for £50 per session and you can opt for either a weekly or biweekly schedule. Access to Daema Village is included free of charge.

I work in blocks of six because in my experience, that timeframe allows us to tackle significant goals that will result in a deep levelling-up of your creative projects.

In the fifth session, we’ll conduct a short review of your progress and decide whether to continue working together.
